Vault Passwords
Step-by-step guide

Digital Token / 2FA Guide

Enable two-factor authentication on any site and store your codes in Vault Passwords. Never lose access to your accounts again.

Step 1

Enable on the desired site

Go to the security settings of the website or app you want to protect. Look for "Two-Factor Authentication" or "2FA" and turn it on. Choose "Authenticator app" or "TOTP" when asked.

Tip: Popular sites like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Amazon and banks offer 2FA in their security settings.

Step 2

Copy the Secret Key

The site will show a QR Code and a secret key in text (a sequence of letters and numbers). Click "copy key" or type it manually. This key is the secret that generates your 6-digit codes.

Tip: Never share this key. Anyone who has it can generate the same codes as you.

Step 3

Paste into Vault Passwords

In Vault Passwords, add a new account or edit an existing one. Paste the secret key into the "2FA Key (TOTP Secret)" field. The 6-digit code will appear automatically and refresh every 30 seconds.

Tip: You can test the code immediately by typing it on the site to confirm everything worked.
